How to perform Hajj

8th ZilHijj (First day of Hajj): Days from 8th ZilHijj to 12th Zilhijj are known as the “Hajj Days”. These days are the most sacred and venerated of the entire pilgrimage. 8th of Zilhijj begins after the evening prayer (Maghrib) of 7th Zilhijj. The pilgrims should make the necessary preparations to proceed to Mina. They can even move in the night in view of heavy traffic and congestion on road these days.
If one has donned Ihram with intent of Qiran or Ifrad it is good. For those having the intention of Hajj-e-Tamattu, donning of a fresh Ihram is necessary in the same manner as for Umrah. However while uttering the intent (Niyah) one shall say Hajj in informal invocation. If one is substituting some one, call his name in full
Intent (Niyah): - O` God I declare my intention of performing Hajj in total submission of myself to You, to seek Your forgiveness and blessings. Make it easy for me.
Keep on praying the Talbiyah while travelling towards Mina. Avoid as much as you can in indulging into worldly matters and talking. Bear with patience if there is any difficulty or problem. This is your hour of test.
One has to offer five prayers in Mina as ordained by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Stay at Mina in the night of 9th Zilhijj is a Sunnah that need to be observed.
